At RTNDF's High School Project, teachers are our favorite people. We hope you'll find our Teacher Pages useful.
Here are many resources for teachers only: Broadcast in a Box, the Teacher to Teacher Guide, training opportunities and scholarships. And coming soon the new DC Public Schools-Prime Movers-RTNDF Radio Curriculum with more than 600 pages of lesson plans, handouts and teaching tips (many of them applicable to television and online teaching, too).
Got ideas for more features? Let us know. RTNDF's High School Project is here to support current broadcast and online journalism programs and to start new ones.

New Radio Curriculum for Broadcast Teachers

We've just begun to release a new Radio Curriculum for radio journalism teachers. We want this curriculum to be a living, growing entity, and we want to add your input to these pages. Read through these lesson plans and then send us your own ideas, comments and suggestions so that we may incorporate them into this guide and share them with others. The curriculum was created by RTNDF, Prime Movers, and the District of Columbia Public Schools CTE and funded by a generous grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

Broadcast in a Box now available online!
Are you looking to start a new broadcast journalism program at your school?
The resource kit that helped launch and reinforce high school broadcast journalism programs all across the country is now available online.
This kit contains video examples of award-winning stories produced by high school students. It also contains a First Amendment teaching curriculum, a code of ethics provided by the Radio and Television News Director's Association and more. Everything is available for free download and will help get you started teaching radio and/or television journalism in your high school.
